Pennsylvania Farm Property Insurance
The farm property insurance program was designed to provide basic fire coverage for owner or tenant-occupied farm property. The farm property must be specifically added onto the policy. Farm property would include farm buildings; farm personal property (like livestock and equipment); and dwellings on the farm. In addition to basic fire coverage, we have basic, broad, and special forms of coverage available. Liability coverage can also be added and is optional. We also offer our Home Systems Protection (equipment breakdown) with Service Line Coverage for dwellings and Farm Equipment Breakdown coverage for the farm. For more details see Home Systems Protection, Service Line Coverage, and Farm Equipment Breakdown coverage.

Even Loss of Use and Spoilage (sub-limited) is provided for you under Home Systems Protection.
COVERAGE INCLUDES:
- Systems: Electrical generation and distribution, heating and cooling, air and water filtration, central vacuum, home security systems, swimming pool and sauna equipment and more.
- Appliances: Refrigerators and freezers, cooktops, ovens, dishwashers, clothes washers and dryers and more.

Service Line Protection
Available to our Homeowners, Farmowners, Mobile homeowners (with tie-downs) and Dwelling Fire policyholders.
Bedford Grange Mutual’s Service Line coverage pays to repair or replace your homeowner-owned, exterior underground water and sewer piping, electrical service lines and data lines that fail and are damaged.
The program fills a critical coverage gap for you; the homeowner, who often don’t realize they are responsible for the repair or replacement of the outdoor underground service lines from the main connection usually at the street to their house, and behind their house to a well, septic tank, or an out-building when damaged due to a service line failure.
You may also have to pay for your damaged outdoor property such as trees, shrubs and driveways when damaged as a result. Know that service line failures are not covered by the typical homeowner insurance coverage forms.
You would be covered for a service line failure defined as physical damage that results in a leak, break, tear, rupture or collapse of a pipe or line. Physical damage can be caused by external events such as root invasion, deterioration, freezing and electrical arcing.
Farmowner's Equipment Breakdown w/Home Systems Protection
Farming has changed. So have the risks. Farming has always been an equipment-intensive business but, in recent years, changes have increased farm equipment risks. Modern farm technology is subject to power quality problems that can damage sensitive circuitry. And conventional machinery now has to be run harder and longer. Yet most farmowners policies exclude equipment risks.
Potential critical coverage gaps found in traditional Farmowners policy forms for exposures directly impacting your farm operations and home equipment and machinery as well as your home’s exterior underground service lines and pipes are now being provided with the following coverages.
Farm Operations’ Equipment Breakdown Coverage:
With Farmowners Equipment Breakdown coverage, potential critical exposure gaps found in traditional Farmowners coverage forms are now covered for mechanical breakdown, electrical arcing, and steam explosions causing physical damage to a wide range of critical farm operations machinery and equipment:
• Deep well pumps
• Electrical distribution systems
• Hot water heaters
• Generators
• Heating, ventilation & cooling systems
• Farm business computers
• Farm refrigeration units
• Computer Controlled equipment
• Boiler & pasteurization equipment
• GPS devices
• Stationary machinery, engines & motors
